Match-Trade Technologies has completed a commercial restructuring that created a new executive layer and moved its sales leadership one rung up the org chart. Rafał Walencik has been promoted to head of sales, taking over the group sales function from Przemysław Wojtyna, who was appointed chief commercial officer earlier this month.
How the reshuffle unfolded
The sequence matters here. Match-Trade did not simply replace one sales lead with another. The company first created the CCO position and placed Wojtyna in it, then elevated Walencik to fill the vacancy below. That structure, a dedicated CCO sitting above a head of sales, is a deliberate commercial build-out rather than a routine backfill. It suggests the company is adding management depth to handle a broader or more complex commercial operation.
Walencik's background in the space
Walencik joined Match-Trade three years ago as senior institutional sales, with a remit that included brokers and prop firms adopting the Match-Trader platform. Before that, he spent roughly a decade in operations and sales roles at Polish brokerage houses. That combination, brokerage-side operations experience followed by direct platform sales to institutional clients, is a reasonably specific fit for a technology vendor whose customer base spans both retail brokers and the prop-firm segment.
What it means for prop firms using the platform
For funded trading firms that run on Match-Trader infrastructure, or are evaluating it, a leadership change at the vendor's sales layer is worth registering. The practical implication is straightforward: account management and new business conversations will now route through Walencik, while Wojtyna's CCO remit likely covers broader commercial strategy, partnerships, and revenue direction. Firms mid-negotiation or in onboarding should confirm their points of contact have been updated accordingly.
More broadly, the move reflects a pattern visible across trading technology vendors over the past two years. As the prop-firm segment has grown into a meaningful revenue line for platform providers, those vendors have responded by professionalising their commercial functions. Adding a CCO tier is one way to separate day-to-day sales execution from longer-term commercial positioning. Whether Match-Trade's restructured team translates into a meaningfully different experience for prop-firm clients is something the next few quarters will show.
